Self-Promo 5

For this shoot I thought I might try and light glass. It was rather difficult, because I wanted only a sliver of a highlight on the glass and then the rest black. To block out all unwanted reflections I had to build a box around the glasses out of gobos. To get the highlight on the glass I placed a cookie behind the cups and shined a light on the back wall to reflect through. Glass is a bear. I enjoyed shooting it though.

You did a wonderful job photographing these three glasses. I am very impressed that you got the edges to show up quite nicely and the matching highlight to pass down each glass. Good job.

This is an awesome shot. I know it gave you some problems, but you pulled it off well. Very simple and sleek, plus a great way of getting it to work

Andrews! Did you steal david's black plexi for this? I'm going to find a basketball court down here and practice, so you better be ready for my 360 dunks when we get back in January! Oh yeah, I need to see an update on this blog, probably something pertaining to how your internship is going. ASAP

Jonathan, you did it! Congrats on capturing this image with its rather difficult lighting situations.
